Who provides your care

Prolong Health makes it easy to find and start a treatment program. Your medical evaluation, prescription decisions, labs and medication fulfillment are handled through Agile Telehealth, our licensed telehealth partner. Here is exactly who does what.

What Prolong Health does

Prolong Health is the company behind this website. We provide patient education, non-clinical support, and the introduction to Agile Telehealth's programs. Prolong Health does not practice medicine and does not make clinical or prescribing decisions. Separately, Prolong Health also offers in-home IV therapy delivered by licensed registered nurses in the Tampa Bay, Florida area; that service is not part of the nationwide telehealth programs described below.

What Agile Telehealth does

Agile Telehealth operates the telehealth platform and the licensed clinical team behind our nationwide programs. Through Agile Telehealth and its affiliated providers:

  • Licensed physicians (MD/DO) and nurse practitioners review your intake and medical history.
  • A provider decides, using independent clinical judgment, whether treatment is appropriate. Completing an intake never guarantees a prescription.
  • Lab work, when needed, is ordered through national laboratories such as Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp.
  • Approved medications are prepared and dispensed by licensed pharmacies and shipped to your door.
  • Agile Telehealth handles patient billing and offers patient support around the clock.

How providers are licensed and credentialed

Providers treat patients only in states where they are licensed. Agile Telehealth's credentialing process includes primary-source background checks, education and training review, work history, board certification review, state licensing review, DEA registration review where applicable, NPI verification, liability coverage and malpractice history review, and screening against federal and state sanction and exclusion lists (OIG, NPDB, Medicaid).

Some states require a live video visit before a first prescription: Arkansas, Delaware, Mississippi, New Mexico, Rhode Island, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. In every other state, most programs begin with an online review, and a live video consult is available when you or your provider want one.

Medications and pharmacies

Prescriptions are filled by licensed pharmacies in Agile Telehealth's fulfillment network, which supplies all 50 states and D.C. Many of the medications offered are compounded: compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed. A provider prescribes a compounded medication only when it is clinically appropriate for you. Availability of any medication can change at any time. Read Agile Telehealth's medication safety information.

Your privacy, consent and rights

When you begin an intake, you will review and agree to Agile Telehealth's documents, which apply to the clinical services it provides:
